Hosting a weekly family night is a fantastic way to connect as a family unit, even if you don’t have children. You see, even the two adults living a married life together need a break from reality every so often. Today we wanted to share a few ways to have some family night fun, regardless of what you define family to be.
Here is our fantastic list of family night activities for everyone…
Swimming Noodles Toss – take the swimming noodles many use in pools and rivers, circle them together to make a ring and toss them around for loads of hilarious fun.
Home Video Night – everyone must have some old home videos stashed around somewhere? Take out those home videos and curl up to watch all those wonderful past memories.
Create a Family Blog – even if you have your own blog, you can still setup a family blog where you share details of day to day life for long distance family to keep up with.
Costume Night – create your own costumes using only materials you found within the home, make it fun by having a secret vote on who made the best costume.
Learn History Night – have each member of the family research a particular historical event and share what each of you find out later that evening.
Scavenger Hunt – this can be super fun for all ages, create your own scavenger hunt to have childhood fun reignited as you search for everything on that list.
Learn Something New – find something that no one in the family has done yet, create a night where you will all work together to learn something new.
Take a Nature Walk – look for a nature trail close to your home and head off on a natural walk together as a family, put the electronics on vibrate/silent and enjoy the peaceful outdoors.
Go Camping – nothing beats the good ole outdoors, head off on a camping trip either in the middle of nowhere or at a local campground.
The list of family activities for everyone really could go on and on for hours, but we wanted to only showcase a few simple ideas so that you can see just how easy it is to reconnect with family. Regardless of what you define your family household as, it’s time to get together with all who matter to you and have a bit of fun with some of these activity ideas we shared today!
